Ericksonian Choice Architecture - Module 2
This course delves into the concept of progress bias and its impact on motivation and personal development. Progress bias reflects the human tendency to prioritize the process of solving challenges over the final outcomes, highlighting the significance of continual goal-oriented engagement. Participants will explore how focusing on the journey, rather than the destination, can enhance personal resources and lead to more fulfilling achievements.
Through both lecture and practical exercises, this course will demonstrate how to break down larger goals into smaller, actionable steps, leveraging cascading accomplishments to build momentum. Participants will learn how to help clients create self-reinforcing micro-habits that lead to long-term rewards, increased motivation, and sustained personal growth.

Intensive participants often ask how they can continue their learning in Ericksonian approaches to clinical hypnosis. This course is the next step! This training is designed to expand on material and practice from the Erickson Foundation’s Intensive Training Program. It is comprised of three parts:
(1) Case consultation, (2) Discussion of the utilization of clinical hypnosis with specific topical areas (e.g., anxiety, personality disorders), and (3) Practice exercises.
There are six available opportunities for a participant to present a case for consultation with Dr. Geary. These sessions will be filled by the first six proposals that are received.
