Francine Shapiro, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Fellow at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto, California. The recipient of a Distinguished Scientific Achievement Award in Psychology from the California Psychological Association, she has trained over 30,000 clinicians worldwide in her approach and has been an invited presenter at numerous conferences.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) has been used effectively with a wide range of trauma victims.
